today's music

This is not a post about "today's music", though I could easily rant about that. No, this is just what I'm listening to RIGHT NOW, TODAY. AT THIS VERY MOMENT.

Season of Love by Shiny Toy Guns (it was on Gossip Girl!): Sounds nothing like Le Disko, the only other song of theirs that I know. I'm kinda surprised that it's the same group. But it's a nice song all the same, especially as it's nothing like that RENT song (shudder). It's a nice choice for the Gossip Girl season finale, seeing as it's about the nature of love. Keep Breathing by Ingrid Michaelson (it was on Grey's Anatomy): I only know two of her songs, this and The Way I Am, but I'm beginning to really like Ingrid Michaelson. Ego by Beyoncé ft. Kanye: This song just makes me laugh because it's so very "coy" and immature. Kanye sounds very much like an 11 year old boy giggling about penises and sex: "She like my big *giggle* ego". It makes me happy in the way Britney's If You Seek Amy makes me chuckle. Also, I want to use Beyoncé's line, "I consider myself a colossal big deal" , in real life somehow. With a straight face.
